Apparently my face didn't want to stay in focus...it must not have wanted to break the camera ;)
I've always struggled with the idea of mixing prints. I like the subtle mix here. I kept the colors streamlined and neutral, and let the stripes peek out in small doses. I think it added some interest to an otherwise casual, neutral weekend outfit. Maybe I'll be a little more daring in my next pattern mix!
Before the weekend (finally, right?), I wanted to give a very special thanks to Ada of Elegance Personified, who nominated me for my second Liebster! She has a great mix of personal style and recaps the top looks each week from some of her favorite blogs...so, stop on over and visit her and her baby bump!
Also, thank you to Project Style for listing me among some very, very talented bloggers for a little work-wear inspiration! Stop by over the weekend to help you decide what to wear when its back to work on Monday!

ReplyDeleteLove this look! I've been looking for the perfect plaid as I think you're wearing it. :) you should totally do a 30x30! I'm really liking it so far and it's fun to think about what I already have differently.

Hi Tiffany,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on all the awards =D That's so awesome. I really do like your shirt - the collar is too cute! Plus, Kate Spade is one of my favorite purse designers. Great minds think alike :P. I'm actually getting my doctorate in Piano Performance and Musicology (pretentious term for music history =P). I still have a few more years to go - only one more year of class though! *pumps fist* That's awesome you're in Chi-town. My cousin goes to U. of Chi for pre-med. She loves it there! I do hear it's freezing there during Winter though! How long have you lived in Chicago? What kind of lawyer are you? =) Also, do you have twitter? Sorry to bombard you with so many questions haha
