With the weather still being cold here, and spring weather everywhere else, it is getting harder and harder to find links to similar items. So, bear with me while our weather, and my wardrobe, catch up to the Spring weather going on elsewhere. Apparently Chicago didn't get the memo! ;)
I'm a big fan of deconstructing my suits. Wearing tweed jackets with solid pants is usually the way I go. While I dont usually wear unmatching, solid, suit separates, the scarf helped tie everything together here and keep the whole look a little lighter than an all black suit. Suit separates are definitely a great way to add versatility to a closet while building a wardrobe of great, basic staples!

I used to wear my only matching suits. I think my work environment has gotten a little more laid back that I am okay with mixing and matching my suits. Love this look - I would totally wear this to the office :)
ReplyDeleteHere's a post, I explained my reasoning for always wore matching suits.

Thanks for sharing Alice! I definitely have that same fear...but somehow, I feel like no matter what I do, one piece ends up lighter than the other over time! It's one of those mysteries I will never figure out. I guess at least I can mix them without having to worry then ;)
