The Dells - Part 1

Over Labor Day weekend I took a trip with David's family to the Wisconsin Dells.  Because the Dells are so close to Chicago and its suburbs, we used to go frequently before I graduated from high school, but I hadn't been in about 8 years since my last visit with friends! It's one of the few places that doesn't really change over time. We stayed at the Cliffside Resort and Suites this time, which is a little older (as most Dells hotels are), but is along the lake with a clear view of the Tommy Bartlett water show from our balcony.  It also has a nice fire pit along the lake, just to the left of that pier you can see in the photo above, which we took full advantage of with late night s'mores! On day one we went canoeing on Mirror Lake (I wore the above outfit but left my bag in the car so I didn't drop it in the lake) and on day two we hiked around Devil's Lake State Park (bottom set of pics)! I forgot how enjoyable the Dells could be!
