Shades of Blue

Navy Suit: The Limited - old but similar blazer and skirt ; Patterned blouse: Wet Seal -
old but similar and lusting after this style; Tank: The Limited; Navy Pumps: Unlisted -

Since I'm usually in court a few days a week, tailored suits are a must. Navy is classic but not as hot as black for summer months. A patterned blouse with little details like buttoned keyholes on the sleeves and ruffled trim down the front and sleeves help keep a tailored suit from being too stuffy. I love that this blouse adds a bright contrast, but staying in the blue family keeps the look from being shocking. But, with any sheer blouse, I always recommend a matching (or contrasting) fitted tank underneath - your bra should never be fully visible in a professional environment. Cuffed blazer sleeves help keep cool when walking to and from the courthouse and add a more casual feel if you keep your jacket on around the office.
