Layers are definitely a girl's best friend in the winter! I also love the versatility they give to a dress. The print makes this one of my favorite year-round dresses. Unfortunately, it is light weight and the bottom half is unlined, so honestly, it makes me a little uncomfortable wearing it to work without anything underneath. So, lets talk about slips for a second. Yeah, these ugly things that our grandmothers wear! Slips are a life saver! I prefer a shorter half slip over a full slip so that I don't have to worry about extra straps on top, but either would work. Slips are great for adding weight to light-weight, potentially see-through dresses or skirts, camouflaging underwear lines, and in the winter, preventing my dress from clinging to my tights as I walk and crawling up.
If you do not own a slip, they are a great inexpensive fix and I highly recommend you get one. My slip really has come in handy when I'm uncomfortable with the clingyness of a dress but can't stand the idea of getting rid of it. Are there any under-things you swear by? Please do share!

I agree with you! I have a couple of slips! You never know when you'll need them! Love how you layered the turtleneck underneath the geo print dress! Really pretty look:)!
ReplyDeleteI'm so in love with this graphic print, wow it's BR? It looks wonderful with the boots! Slips are versatile, just need to have a good one, I use various lengths! :)/Madison
