Over the past month the weather has been crazy in Chicago - admittedly, no hurricanes, so I really have no right to complain. We went from 50's to high 70's, to the 30's in a matter of two weeks. While I'm not a fan of the extreme weather changes, I took full advantage of the 70's with bare legs and summer classics - a tan skirt, crisp light blue blouse, and cuffed sleeves!
While this outfit seems like a classic no-brainer, I must admit it was inspired by a well-dressed woman I saw on the street. It reminds me of a school uniform, but updated and I fell in love with the preppy feel. A classic navy blazer and crisp blue blouse were updated with a slim skirt with a side slit and peep-toe pumps. The gold chain link jewelry also kept this pairing from feeling to school boy for me. I can't believe I hadn't paired these classic pieces together sooner!
