I'm so sorry for not posting since last Thursday!! My photographer and photo editor is on a business trip (as if his real job takes priority), and this whole cropping and sizing thing is much harder than I thought!

This suit has been in my closet for quite some time. I love that it isn't black, but is still incredibly sharp with the black piping and trim. When I was in law school, I considered this my power suit! I wore it for at least one argument in every moot court competition and somehow, it made me stand a little taller. The impact that clothes can have on how we carry ourselves has always been a reason why I enjoyed fashion. I remember when I was younger, I used to think about owning a closet full of power suits - it is one reason I liked the idea of becoming a lawyer. Of course, the reality of a closet full of suits is much less glamorous and often, ill-fitting and boring. It is the little details, the ruffles on the back of the suit, the black piping and trim on the pockets, black patent covered buttons, the tiered necklace, the polka dot bag and tights, that make this suit fun!

As the saying goes, the devil is in the details! I think the same hold true for clothes - the details transform a simple suit into something with a little more power! ;)

Thank you to each and every one of you who has left a comment and/or become a new follower! I'm catching up with responses, but I want you all to know how much each comment means to me!

Thanks for reading!

  7. I love this suit on you. I honestly find this bag a bit distracting but I love that you stay true to your personal style and push the envelope. The tights are also a cute twist.
