So sorry for being MIA the past week! I definitely made myself unplug during our much needed break! I also started the new job last week (woo hoo!!!), so I've been playing catch up since we got back. Hopefully we'll be back to our regular programming from here on out ;) 

Sometimes, basics are the easiest thing to grab in my closet to feel pulled together. This blue button-down blouse was one of the first shirts I purchased when I started law school (yes, it is that old). I love the pleat it has down the back and the subtle dot texture. For some reason, a crisp blue button down with a black suit screams classic to me. Chunky matte silver jewelry, a grey belt, and snake skin shoes kept me from feeling too stuffy in what could be a boring combo. 

Sorry for the ugly garage backdrop! It was an icky, rainy day, but I didn't want a classic like this to go undocumented!
